The Social Story

When Facebook hit 1 billion users, those who had chosen to ignore social media started to take note – especially businesses. Suddenly there was a huge, diverse audience that every organisation could tap into.

Social media had become a new way to communicate, using engaging platforms to connect with your current audience and explore new ones.

In terms of the social story, we had all heard of MySpace, but in 2004 the real breakthrough came when Facebook Launched in the US. Twitter followed in 2006 and really the rest is history. Social was once seen just for individuals. But as time went on, platforms developed, reporting modules were launched and businesses spotted a unique opportunity.
